In December 1980 a UFO allegedly landed in Rendlesham Forest.  This incident is sometimes referred to as "The British Roswell" a reference to the Roswell Incident, in which it is alleged that in July 1947 a UFO crashed near Roswell, New Mexico, USA.

Having read the fascinating book "You can't tell the people" by Georgina Bruni, published by Sidgwick & Jackson, I have a  UFO section on my Bentwaters web site and can thoroughly recommend the book.
