Fairtrade Fortnight in Woodbridge

Saturday 3rd March at 7.30pm
Bawdsey Bird Club will be holding their annual public talk in the unique setting of The Great Hall at Bawdsey Manor, Bawdsey, Nr. Woodbridge. Steve Aylward the Suffolk Wildlife Trusts property manager will be showing slides and talking about the trust's reserves both old and new.
Admission is £2.00 for adults and 50p for under 18s.
There is ample free parking next to the entrance to the hall and refreshments will be available after the talk.

Auditions for West Side Story production by The Angel Youth Theatre Company in preparation for performances on 19, 20, 21 July.
Auditions are open to anyone between the ages of 8 and 19 years of age.  No experience is necessary although plenty of enthusiasm is essential.  As its  a long day people are advised to bring a packed lunch and drink with them.

Councillor Michael Weaver and his wife Carol, with the help of members of the History Department at Woodbridge School, will be presenting an illustrated lecture ‘Sins of the Fathers, Thomas Clarkson and the Abolition of the Slave Trade’. On 25 March 1807 Parliament prohibited slave trade. The brothers John and Thomas Clarkson have strong local connections.
