Details: A special Open Day is being held to celebrate the 400th anniversary of Bartholomew Gosnold's founding of Jamestown, Virginia, the first English-speaking colony in America. Otley Hall was the family seat of the Gosnolds for many years. Otley Hall is a stunning 16th century hall set in 10 acres of award winning gardens. The hall will be open for all to explore with experienced guides on hand to give detailed information on the hall's history. There will be plenty of activities for all the family with falconry displays, archery for all to try, tudor dancing and a bouncy castle. Refreshments will be available.

In 1937 Bawdsey was the first of the chain home radar stations which played a crucial role in the Battle of Britain.
2007 is the 70th Anniversary of Bawdsey Radar Station.

Details: Otley Hall will be holding an Open Day on Sunday May 27th. Otley Hall is a stunning 16th century hall set in 10 acres of award winning gardens. The Hall will be open for all to explore with experienced guides on hand to give detailed information on the hall's history. The day will be a fun outing for all the family. We will have classic cars on site provided by Suffolk Vehicle Enthusiasts. We will be joined by the Renaissance Company, a Tudor recreation group who will be providing Tudor dancing and giving talks and demonstrations on tudor ways of life. There will be plenty of children's activities including a bouncy castle and crown and shield making. Refreshments will be available.
