Westleton Heath (NNR) is an ideal spot for a reasonably easy stroll with one short but steepish gravelly climb. The circular walk can be shortened and eased by missing out the "upper loop". The following photos were taken at different seasons and do not necessarily depict a step by step through the walk. Even including the hill section, this is about an hour's walk.

1. On the way from the car park off Dunwich Road, which is off the B1125 towards the north end of Westleton

2. Sometimes muddy main path in the low-lying part of the walk that crosses a stream.

3. Through the pine woods on part of the 'short cut' avoiding the hill.

4. Having gone up the hill, across the top towards the sea, the path leads back downhill towards the stream.

5. Further down hill, through the pines again, towards the stream.

6. The sturdy wooden bridge over the stream.

7. Old railway sleepers, covered in chicken wire, provide a boardwalk through the marsh, where yellow irises grow wild.

8. Another wooden bridge over a mostly dried up stream.

9. Out of the marsh, the path runs alongside a private house, where these daffodils were growing.

10. After the house a narrow footpath, which later turns into a wide greensward, leads back to the car park.
